Camp Agape Contact Elaine Dively A great big thank you to all of the members of Faith who contributed to Camp Agape. I am so pleased to be able to say that nine elementary school youngsters from Unity Lutheran Church in Homewood will be able to attend camp and sleep over for an entire week. For these boys and girls, it will be a week they will remember forever. They will have the usual camp fun, but they also will be tutored in reading and math. This year the camp is also blessed to have a reading specialist. Earlier in the Spring, I helped Shirley Ledford bring food for the Unity after school program. When I asked who had gone to the camp last year. I had to tell one little five year old she was too young. She tried to impress me with the words she already knew and told me her sister said camp was womnderful. I told her maybe next year. If anyone has questions about the camp, or would like to be a tutorfor a week in either reading or math, please speak with me. All of the teaching this year will be in the newly built retreat center which is air conditioned. Camp Agape is in Hickory, Washington, PA, not too far but yet quite rural and beautiful.
