The finance team serves two primary functions.  We look backwards on the previous year in various ways, confirming compliance with appropriate financial procedures and always looking for ways to improve our Church's financial affairs.  We also look ahead to the upcoming year, setting a budget with the expectation of meeting current financial obligations while planning for the future.  The finance team is pleased to report that in the face of the adversity many faced in 2009, there have been a number of visible manifestations of the growth and spirit of our Church, including restoration work on our front columns, new bibles and racks in our pews, a new defibrillator in our lobby, and financial support for the new Youth Director position.  These are in addition to the ordinary financial commitments of the Church.
